Back for the third year in a row, the Surly Bottle Project is a 4-bottle collection of barrel-aged beers, perfect for any craft beer lover. Is that person you? Or perhaps, you have one of those people in your life and you are looking for the perfect holiday gift. Look no further!

For the past two years, we've released the four bottles quarterly. This year, we're giving them to you all at once, and right before the holidays! 

The 2025 edition is called Barrel Goblins. Barrel aging is an art form, one that brewers like Surly’s Ben Smith practice with extreme care. Selecting the right beer and the proper wood is something close to magic. So close, in fact, that the Barrel Goblins who haunt our brewery at night remain vigilant in their protection of these precious liquids. We’ve named the 2025 Bottle Project beers after four of our most trusted, infernal Goblins.

BORIS: This barleywine spent quality time in Parker’s Heritage 14-Year Bourbon barrels.  

VLAD: Fans of Eighteen, rejoice. Our 18th anniversary beer (Belgian golden strong ale fermented with Brettanomyces Brux and Clauss, aged in virgin oak barrels) spent even more time aging on the Brett and oak before finishing in bourbon barrels. First Bottle Project beer to approach a traditional sour.

LIZZIE: Take a whack at this Doppel Helles Bock aged on French oak.

VIKTOR: This Strong Ale was aged in bourbon barrels before aging further on vanilla beans.

BOTTLES MUST BE PICKED UP AT THE SURLY BEER HALL, and will be available for pickup the week by November 25th, right before Thanksgiving.
